I am by no means the most fascinating person
on Earth. But if you've come to this page you're obviously
interested in learning a bit more about me...
I was born in June of 1969 in New York City.
After a few moves my family wound up in New Jersey and has
been there ever since. I, however, moved to Connecticut to
pursue a career working with my best friends.
Growing
up my Mom forced me to take Piano lessons - I liked it at
first but eventually grew to kind of hate it. It wasn't until
I was in 6th or 7th grade that I got back into it. I really
enjoyed learning songs from bands like Journey and Rush.
Finally in 8th or 9th grade I bought my
first keyboard - a Roland Juno 60. It cost me around $1,200
or so and I blew my entire savings from mowing lawns to get
it. I'm glad I did, though... it marked the beginning of one
of my most enjoyable hobbies - composing music.
Hobbies? Did I say "hobby"? Yes,
music is a hobby of mine. By day (and a lot of nights and
weekends :-p ) I'm a Senior Designer for a company called
Raven Creative, Inc., a Connecticut-based web developer. In
my spare time I enjoy composing music and posting it for anyone
who's interested.
When I'm not playing music, I'm playing
games. I really enjoy playing online multiplayer games like
UnReal Tournament and Ultima Online (actually I've recently
gotten over a 3 year addiction to Ultima. I also really
enjoy console games (had a Saturn, a Playstation, a Dreamcast,
and now an Xbox). If I didn't feel bad about it I could probably
waste an entire weekend playing games. Oh yeah, I'm also a
sucker for a collectible card game entitled "Magic: The
Gathering".
When I'm not playing games or writing music
I'm probably watching a movie with my wife, Heather. I feel
compelled to mention that it was she who got me back into
music after a few year hiatus. A lot of my equipment had broken
and was to the point of being unusable. For a birthday she
had given my a gift certificate to get it all repaired. Thanks,
"Hedder"!
You might be wondering who my influences
are. My music may not even remotely sound anything like the
music of my influences but regardless, they inspired me. Through
the years I've really enjoyed the music of (in no particular order): Howard Jones,
The Stabilizers, Nine Inch Nails, Alphaville, Cause &
Effect, Enigma, The Cure, Erasure, Duran Duran, Enya, Jesus
Jones, and Queen. But my absolute favorite bands have always
been Depeche Mode and Rush. I do have a favorite song - it's
"Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode.
I hope this little bit of text gave you
a little peek into the life I like to call mine.
People I'd like to mention and thank
for giving friendship, inspiration or support in some way or
another: Heather - my love and my friend, my wonderful mother
Rita and father Ludwig, my awesome sister Monika, my best friends
in the whole wide world Jeff and Jay who will always make me
laugh until the day I die, Maryn- for just being so cool, and
my long time friend in NJ Logan whom I have greatest respect
for. Thanks! I love you all. |
